Melissa Lennon

1. What is your professional/educational background?

I have been a bartender, at the same establishment, for the last 19 1/2 years, of which the majority of those I have been in management. I handle large sums of sales and cash in a demanding and fast paced atmosphere. Before that, I worked in the office type setting, dealing with the public, and working with new construction and trade employees/supervisors, as well as permits and inspections. Customer Service has always come naturally to me.

2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?

Because I am ready to advance myself and my family.
They say to find what you love and figure out a way to make money doing it. And I love houses and people. Even as a little girl, I have been extremely interested. (Probably partly because I grew up in an apartment my entire childhood). I would even grab the Homes magazines from the stores and just dream. My husband thought that would stop once we bought a house but it didn't. I love all of the unique characteristics different homes offer. And I love to help people and given my past employment fields, I genuinely love making people happy.

3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?

I live near Middlebranch & 55th in Plain Township and I absolutely love it here. I grew up small town and am impressed with the diversity and options Plain Township and their schools offer. It's a beautiful area with wonderful parks and plazas to utilize.

4. How do you spend your free time?

Beyond taking care of household and family duties, I enjoy spending time with my kids and friends, playing games with my family, and helping out wherever I'm needed.
